Default Atkins Bars....???

I guess this is one of those "your mileage my vary" deals. The bars
not only stalled me, they helped throw me off my plan. Definitley a
trigger food for me.

Although I am losing slowly, I am losing. But most importantly, I am
having almost no trouble sticking to plan. It is amazing. But I eat
only real foods, which I'm finding rather luxurious. Nothing like
blackberries is freshly made whipped cream!

I don't agree with this advice, as I have not only indulged in Atkins
bars during the early stages of my diet, but also have made low carb
cheesecake, ice cream, and yogurt concoctions to satisfy my sweet
tooth. I have nonetheless stayed in ketosis since the start, and have
lost weight as advertised. Given that I can eat these things (as well
as significant amounts of low carb bread, cheese, nuts, diet sodas
and other things I consider treats), I don't experience any unsatisified
cravings. This seems to me to be the psychologically better way to
deal with the diet.

I agree with Alan. The only things that stall me are too many calories
and not enough exercise, and not drinking 2 liters of water a day. I
think you should eat what works for you. I would be unhappy - and was -
without hot cereal for breakfast. Everyone probably has something like
this that they can't bear to give up.

OTOH, I HAVE experienced the laxative effect, and it's not especially
welcome because it comes with real urgency and cramping, like tourista.
My advice is to stick to Splenda, which doesn't contain polyols. do
your own baking with it - cakes come out well and so do meringues,
custards and jellies.
