Since glucose tolerance test, gained weight, mood changes
I've been low carbing for about 2 1/2 weeks, haven't lost that much
(perimenopause) but did drop a few lbs on first day of menstrual cycle. Then had a glucose tolerance test last week, and later that day, began to perfusely perspire (I never do that). It's interesting the effect of sugar, especially when you haven't had any for a few wks. In any event, I've gained back 4 lbs. I expected the glucose test to play a little havoc with my weight for a few days, but for those of you who have had it while low carbing, how long did it take for your body to get back on track? Also, since the test on Tuesday, I've noticed sudden mood change (anger and resentment) which is uncharacteristic of me and can't help but consider if its an affect of that rush of sugar (on an empty stomach no less). -- "Be kind, because everyone you meet is fighting a desperate battle."
