SWWC Update - week 12, Joyce
Can I say "eh"? I'm not unhappy with the maintaining, except that I've been
trying so incredibly hard to drop a few more measly pounds ... winter cushion is what I'm calling it. No matter what the heck I do, they appear to be stuck on me. grin I'm thinking of now changing my weigh in day (I won't really, but have considered it). Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday this week gave me a constant 2 pound lower reading ... step up on that scale today (day before I'm supposed to log it) and I'll be damned if it isn't right back to the same gosh darned number as last week. And I'll be willing to bet it will stick until after tomorrow. sigh Maybe I should just quit trying and go back to my chocolate cake diet? In addition, some of us are going for the clothing cushion because if we blow it, we PAY at an in-person meeting. You don't have that hanging over your head (g). Otherwise, I probably would be happy with a nice "round" 164! Maybe I should just quit trying and go back to my chocolate cake diet? YES! I vote for that. Oh, wait, there is no more in the freezer. But I have been thinking of making it again, maybe for the office Christmas Party. Joyce On Sat, 27 Sep 2003 17:56:24 GMT, "Lesanne" wrote: Fantastic!! "Joyce" wrote in message . .. Otherwise, I probably would be happy with a nice "round" 164! I know, but I'm now wondering ... which reading is actually the *trick*? Do I look at the results I get on 5 days ... or the results that are for 2 days of the week, but happen to fall on my *official* weigh in day. I think I am going to do the averaging thing, over the course of the week. It probably will help with the swings I get, but also should show *true* gains - which is really what I want to be on the look out for. If those averages start going up, then I probably have something that needs to be attended to. Heaven only knows, it's that danged number thang agin. g On the plus side, I took measurements today. Down half an inch in waist, hips and bust in the last month. So something is happening, I just don't have a clue as to what. As for the paying, you're right again - I don't need that cushion for added incentive. I just get to suck it up and pay monthly regardless. Guess that's my choice also ... for still sticking with the online stuff. Maybe I should just quit trying and go back to my chocolate cake diet? YES! I vote for that. Oh, wait, there is no more in the freezer. But I have been thinking of making it again, maybe for the office Christmas Party. hehehehe - did you finally break down and eat that last piece in your freezer? Joyce |

LOL! My life in general seems to be a drama - not so much me, more everyone else.
Hubby swears if we wrote it all down we would have either a hit sitcom or a hit soap opera ... maybe we should shoot for a comedic soap? Thanks Kristin. I tend to forget I am in the 130s - everytime I update my sig, I
somehow manage to first put 150. I have no idea why my brain is stuck there. Overdoing it a bit on the bike rides ... or trail hikes, dear? G From your
later post, it appeared to end up in an even swap anyway. Can't ask for much more than that. In my mind, that is perfection - is exactly what we are hoping to accomplish. I missed my treadmill appointment this morning, had a little visitor planned (that would be my grandson). So informal non-exercise it was ... rolling on the floor, gramma being pounced upon, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting. It surprises me how much this little boy likes to clean. I probably should have him over more often. G Joyce On Sun, 28 Sep 2003 09:43:19 -0700, Fred wrote: That is very consistent. I have not posted - and that would be a gain!!! My stats for this challenge are somewhat messed up anyway.......... I'm still under goal so that is maintaining. And the last two days of exercise have left me unable to step UP on the scale (G) On Sat, 27 Sep 2003 12:40:14 -0500, Joyce wrote: I just realized I never posted an update from last week either. Just possibly. 35 miles by bike, 9 miles of hiking up 3,800 feet and hten back down and then 17 miles of biking last weekend. This week I have only been walking - a cold also has curtailed some of the exercise. I missed my treadmill appointment this morning, had a little visitor planned (that would be my grandson). This week I have only been walking - a cold also has curtailed some of the exercise. LOL! I think the *just possibly* might be the understatement of the year. It does sound like you might have pushed yourself a bit far, then not given any time for recovery. Walking is a good thing - at least it better be since that seems to be what I am doing. G I have so far avoided the cold, and hope I continue to do so. Everyone else in my house has been extremely ill, daughter missed 2 days of school. She and hubby are still fighting the cough, sonny boy with an ongoing sore throat. For a change, I'm the healthy one who doesn't have time to be sick. G I missed my treadmill appointment this morning, had a little visitor planned (that would be my grandson). I probably should have him over more often. G Well, that has to be fun - maybe even the cleaning. But definitely, the grandson playtime. Oh, it truly was fun! I sometimes forget how everything is new and exciting to small children. They still have that innocense. Yesterday looked like I wasn't going to make that treadmill appointment also, had to be at the dentist by 8:30 .... and was a lengthy appointment. I then spent a few hours with a numb mouth, waiting for pain to kick in G ... finally at 1:30 told myself to just get over it and ventured to the basement. Amazingly I did feel better, and never did have one second of pain. Joyce WW starting weight: 228.8 - 2/5/02 current weight: 132.2 Lifetime: 4/4/03 |
