Well dang, I gained .6. Not a great way to lose 5 from my top of range.
But I am still .4 under goal, so whatever. I know Why, I ate every point
this week, just to see. Well now I know That is too much.... So I shall
try to eat less flex this week.

Thank you for taking the initiative to do this experiment. I have been too scared
to do it myself, but it does kind of confirm my suspicions ... too many points on
the flexpoint system for maintainers. I've yet to figure out that *number* I
need, no matter what I do I stay the same (which I guess is good). I don't know
if I now have my metabolism totally screwed up from not eating enough.

Regardless, you are doing a fantastic job of maintaining! That's what's
important.

LOL, initiative my hind leg, it was stress from Ma being sick. !! I was
hungry all the time. No more of that, back to using about half the flex
points and my own estimate of activity points instead of the one the online
journal gives me. They gave me more, to say the least.

Hi Lesanne...

First of all, congrats on maintenance.

Secondly...you might want to give Flex more than a one week trial. (I
initially decided to give it one month.) I did gain initially, but have
been losing after the first week, at a better rate than on winning points.
I'm now eating ALL Flex and approximately 50-55 APs a week. It took my body
a while to get the message. (Weight loss had slowed/stalled/gained before
starting Flex.) Each week, I've eaten a little more, and each week I've
lost a little more. I'm sold on it now. I'm convinced I was starving
myself before this.

I think a lot of it depends on your level of exercise too. My sister gains
if she eats the Flex, but she doesn't exercise. I exercise quite a bit
every day, and I can eat them just fine, and still lose well.

Of course, this is not maintenance, still trying to lose.

Sorry about the wee gain, Lesanne. Just like you, I tried to eat all my
points one week & found the same as you that I would gain. Wish you luck in
figuring out what you can eat.

Actually Carol, on my scale I did lose about half a pound, but theirs said
up... I also exercise at a really high level, but I used to count my
activity points using perceived exertion, my own little thing.. Like if I
nearly killed myself for an hour, I counted it 4. Their journal will come
up with 5 or 6 for the same thing. I was eating all that, plus my
maintenance points (4 a day) plus all my flex points. I don't think I am
going to do that again this week. You never know though, I eat when I am
really starving and THAT was the problem last week, really starving.

Lesanne:

Well, maintaining is staying within 2 of goal and you are definitely
doing that so all is well. Good for you to try to eat all your flex to
see what happened. Now you know. Now I know too!!!
