Default Hi I'm New to the Group!

Hi my name is Danny and I am 26 years old. I am new to the group so this is
my first posting. I currently weigh 467 lbs. When I started my diet I
weighed 523 lbs. I started my diet 4 weeks ago. I am on a 1500 calorie low
sodium diet. The reason I have come here is for motivation and support
because as you know the battle with weight loss is a very hard fought
battle.

Thanks,
Danny

Default Hi I'm New to the Group!

Welcome, Danny.

I think it is great that you are starting on a healthy diet.

I think, perhaps, though you might want to check your scale(s). I don't
think it is possible to lost 60 lb in 4 weeks. Unless you were in a car
accident or something.

I don't believe you.

But then again, I started lifting weights 2 weeks ago, and I can now
bench press 467 pounds. So I guess anything is possible. I'm
shooting for 523 pounds.

Hi Danny in Georgia - Welcome to the group! You are awesome for
starting on a healthier path in life. How did you get started?

As a side note, I've heard Georgia is beautiful. One of my husband's
favorite places is Savannah.

Welcome, keep an eye on posts of someone named Matty, Matty started at

Default Hi I'm New to the Group!

Welcome brother Danny!

I was in a similar situation to yourself when I started on my journey to
lose weight. It has been a long, hard road, but has been worth it. I tell
you the truth - nothing tastes as good as going into Target or Steve &
Barry's and being able to buy clothes off the rack.

The changes you are making to your lifestyle will last forever if you are
committed and stay the course. This newsgroup has been a great support and
valuable resource to me and it will to you as well. Keep us updated on your
progress and let us know of any questions you have - someone here will
probably know the answer.

I like to say now that I weighed more than Jared and so far have lost 2
Mary-Kates and half an Ashley.

Again, welcome!

Matty (I weighed more than Jared from Subway)
481/256/225
(starting weight/current weight/goal weight)

First mini goal achieved - 104lbs lost 10/26/04
Second mini goal achieved - 137lbs lost 01/28/05
Third mini goal achieved - 183lbs lost 09/30/05
Fourth mini goal achieved - 204lbs total lost 01/30/06
Fifth mini goal - 231lbs total lost by 08/31/06

I wish you would stop. That is just wrong (and out of character) on so many
levels.

I do not see anything wrong.
