Hello ASD friends,

Well I believe I start my new job next Monday. It's been a little over
2-1/2 years since my accident and last time I worked. I'm 99% sure I have
the job and should know for sure by tomorrow. A friend of mine I use to
work with at another company got me hired on with his company. Anyway I
just wanted to let everyone know I'm going to be a working man soon.
Yahoooooooooo!

Also I went by my old place of employment and I wish I had a picture for
all the looks I got from the employees there. Some people just couldn't
believe how much I have changed. Some heard my voice and recognized the
voice but couldn't figure out who I was until they stared for a few seconds.
It was a great feeling. Even my friend who got me my new job didn't know it
was me. He went to the front door of the company and looked into the
parking lot cause I had called him letting him know I just pulled into his
parking lot. He walked right by me, then I let him search for a few
seconds, then said "Hey Chris", he turned and couldn't believe how much I've
changed since he last seen me. I had about six people ask me my secret for
losing so much weight. It was great!

On the downside, my weight has gone up a bit since last week. I had
weighed in at 197 once last week and the last few days I've been between
200-203 pounds. I have lifted some weights lately, and have been eating the
same for the most part the last few days. I did have some pizza recently,
which I do about every three weeks. I think that my weight is hanging due
to water weight and/or muscle.

Well I've got to go to my son's practice,

Paul

Yippie Skppy Yahoo! That's great news. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying
congrats and I'll keep my fingers crossed on the other 1%.

Are you still weighing daily? It might be time to migrate to weekly,
especially as you are so much closer to your goal. Water and all that good
stuff has a greater impact at lower weights. Don't want this messing with
your head

Don't fret too much -- you're aware of what's going on with your body
and why. IMHO, that's so important. I know I went from 135 to 275 by
just ignoring the problem. I can't picture you doing that, now... :-)

Isn't it a good feeling when people notice your weight loss. My cousin
and his wife came by today. When I opened the door they had such a
shocked look on their faces. Then his wife screamed you've lost so much
weight made my day.

This is great news. A scary adventure, to be sure, but a good turn of
events.

Great news!! I bet you are happy to work again after so long!! Have you
decided on how you are going to modify your exercise routine?

I love getting reactions like that. However, mine aren't as dramatic (yet).
