Congratulations, Amy - doesn't that feel great?

It's working.... I'm keeping my calorie intake to an average of
1600-1800/day and getting some exercise. I haven't settled into a
routine yet but it's only my first week so I'm trying not to overdue
it. I feel better already and the scale is showing a loss although
you never know how much is water, etc.

I joined Curves last Wednesday, have worked out there twice and
finally got back on my treadmill yesterday - felt good to dust it off.
Fitday.com has been a big help too.

Here's to Week 2!

So far, so good with Curves. I like the interaction and the 30 minute
routine... only 5 minutes from my house so that's a bonus too! I
don't dread going there like I used to with the big gym - seemed very
alone there.

Thank you all for the encouraging words!

Congratulations Amy! You're off to a good start.

How do you like Curves? I was a member for a year before switching to a
regular gym closer to home.

Sounds like you're off to a great start - remember that the even the longest
journey starts with a few steps.
Try to enjoy the ride!

Week 2 Weigh in!

214 this morning - I've been a little lower throughout the week but am
happy to settle at a 2 lb loss for the week. I'm working on getting
better use of the food groups. The biggest change has been in
bringing my lunch every day but Friday. I'm completely controlling
calorie intake by having no other food available. I have had to visit
the store downstairs twice but only choose light yogurt so not a big
deal, still within my ranges.

Went over my 1600-1800 goal a lot one day and a little another day but
was a little under it two other days. All in all, I feel good - still
need to get my workout routine under control - did 3, planned on 4.

Go Week 3

Wonderful job, Amy! You are doing terrific with the changes you're making. Gradual
changes lead to permanent changes which lead to permanent weight loss!
