Default Week 2 weigh in

m0rk wrote:
End of week 2 ... although im not feeling hungry generally, my cravings
have been gnawing at me the last few days, ive pretty much managed to
ignore them though and stick to my general plan.

Ive managed walking and swimming during the last week and will continue
with that, im also looking to get back into road cycling, what I used to
enjoy many years ago and on the virge of a bike purchase, a Dawes
Horizon road touring bike if anyones interested.

Lost 2 pound this week.

336/330/210
End Week 2 ... Weeks left to wedding - 28

Two pounds is a good rate for losing, mOrk.

Many find it helpful to control hunger by eating a mixture of carb,
protein and good fat in each meal. You might take a look at the ratio
of your current diet and see if some adjustments might help.

I wasn't familiar with the Dawes Horizon so I googled it. That's a
nice looking bike. Many in the group are bike riders. I do volunteer
bike patrolling for the local metro parks and love it. Biking is more
enjoyment than exercise for meg

Sounds like you're on the right track!

I find that satisfying my craving to a point helps me avoid a major pig
out later. Like if I'm craving a chocolate bar, I will have a cup of
hot cocoa with honey instead of sugar and fat free milk. I've also
added cocoa to my oatmeal to attempt to curb my chocolate cravings!

I find that eating more protein helps keep me satisfied longer. I
really notice a difference when I eat oatmeal for breakfast vs. cereal.
On days I eat cereal, my stomach is growling for a snack by 9:30
whereas when I eat oatmeal I'm often happy until 10:30!

Good luck, keep us updated on your progress!!

I have the same results with oatmeal vs cereal. I add some protein
powder and ground flax seed to my oatmeal and it normally keeps me
satisfied until lunch.

Have you tried adding chocolate protein powder to your oatmealg I
use the vanilla flavored and really like it. I'm not a real chocoholic
so I haven't tried the chocolate flavor.

Well, I haven't tried adding protein powder, but at the moment I'm
pregnant so I'm iffy on adding stuff to my diet. Sometimes I'll have
an egg with my oatmeal, depending how hungry I am before I go to work!
Thanks for the tip though! Something to remember in 20+ months when I
stop breastfeeding!

Sometimes I put the egg *in* my oatmeal (cooked of course). Not too bad
with the right seasoning.
