Ouch! I hope you heal quickly! I am sorry you hurt yourself
Your signature line won't look right if you change it to "limping on"
instead of walking on.....

I broke my toe in the bathroom last night. Kicked the trim on the door -
hurt like a you-know-what.

The good news is I can still ride my bike, do pilates and lift weights
(no lunges). I buddy taped it and it really only hurts when I go
downstairs. I can get around the house and function. But when I tried to
walk with my PM friend this noon, we had to turn back. It didn't only
hurt, my whole gait and stride was off. I'd have other problems to deal
with if I kept that up. Does anybody know how long it'll take to heal?

Thank goodness I got that bike! I rode almost 12 miles tonight, songs
blasting, sun going down. My average speed wasn't as good as it has been
but I was just happy to be out.

Once you killfile a few retards, this newsgroup becomes a great
resource. While you are at it, you can also killfile all crossposts to
sci.med.cardiology and soc.support.fat-acceptance.

Wow, you're right on that one. Is that why you're probably second only to
mu and chung for being KF'd? BTW, I think the namecalling is a little
uncivil or maybe just hypocritical.

Ig is an expert when it comes to r*tards. He sees one every day when he
looks in the mirror. Seriously, that is a politically incorrect and rude
thing to call a person. When I was in high school, I volunteered to work
with mentally and physically challenged people and find that word offensive.

Yeah, toughing out the injuries seems to be what works. I start
physical therapy for my back tomorrow, so it's not like I don't have
recent experience to remember what it's like to do that.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your toe, Laurie--hopefully you'll be healed by the
time snowshow season hits (that'll be in a couple of weeks, right?).

I was in the storage area under the eaves yesterday and saw the
snowshoes, so I moved them closer to the front g

Oh, BTW, I told DH that I couldn't wait to get on snowshoes again so he
pulled them out of the garage and told me I should walk around on the

grass
with them. Umm, right. I *did* however find a ski group that takes a bus
up to the ski areas on the weekends!

Jenn

That's what I do! We have a bus I can take up every Saturday if I wish, ski
all day and come back that night.
