Digital Kitchen Scale Recommendations ?

If you have a Bed, Bath, and Beyond or Linens 'n Things, go in and look
at the various scales. Features that are useful are a flat surface so
you can put a plate on it; a tare function, so you can reset the weight
to 0 after you put the plate on it; switchable ounce and gram
measurements. I bought mine 6 or 7 years ago, and it's still going
strong. I only wish it measured in 1 gr rather than 2 gr increments, but
that's not enough of a drawback for me to consider replacing it.

I got mine from Digital Scales Direct, 18 months ago, when it was an
eBay store. It's no longer on eBay, but you can find them at
digitalscalesdirect.com. They have a *dizzying* array of scales, no
foolin'; I got an Escali that weighs to the nearest 0.5 g. I paid
about 50 bucks for mine, but they have some that are cheaper. (No
decent scale is going to be really cheap, though. You want precision,
you pay for it.)

They even have pocket scales that you can take with you.

I'm not connected with these folks in any way, just a customer.

Search on Amazon - I have one similar but much cheaper that works
great. The brand is Cibo and I think I paid more like $39 for it.

My wife bought a scale called "Weigh of Life" at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It
weighs the food and has 999 codes that you can put it. It tells you grams
of carb, fat, protein, fiber, etc. I think it sells for $59.99. She's
diabetic and watches her serving sizes really closely, especially carbs.

Update -

I ended up buying the Salter Model #1400 thinking that would be easier
to track my food intake values. Thanks for the suggestions, opinions
and ideas.
