My way of dealing with pork chops it to either grill (broil) them and
have them with a good salad, or bake them in the oven in an open tin
and have them with boiled or steamed green veg and hollandaise sauce.
I reckon basic is best with a good pork chop.

6 porkchops
Half an onion
Mushrooms (chopped)
Clove garlic (minced)
Salt/pepper
2 teasp mustard (Dijon)
2 tbls butter
2/3 cup heavy cream
Swiss cheese

Sautee the garlic, onion and mushrooms in the butter until translucent.
Add the cream, mustard, salt, pepper, and optonially (I liked it alot)
some garlic and onion powder. Stir it all well and let it simmer for a
little.

Season the porkchops and put them in an oven dish. Pour the onion/mushroom
sauce on top and cover it with aluminum foil. Put it in a pre-heated oven
(approx 350) and let it simmer for about 30 to 40 minutes. Take the
aluminum foil off and put the cheese on top and put it back in the oven
for about 5 minutes.

pork is much leaner than it was years ago. I fry in oil with peppers and
onions usually, used to be that I would bake them- but they turned out too
dry. Stir fry also-any dish for chicken works for pork use cheese, sour
cream, or cream to thicken a sauce made with chicken broth or wine and pan
drippings.

It's nice to be able to cook with the forbidden items!

If you make up a batch of Dana Carpender's coating mix from her Heroin Wings,
you can use it as a coating on other meats like pork chops.

Works on the chicken wings but is also great on pork chops or pork butt steak.
Sprinkle out what you need on a plate so that you don't contaminate the rest of
it.

1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

I misread the recipe and used 2 tablespoons of oregano. It was still pretty
good. Mix it up and keep it in a covered container, take out what you need.

When you want an easy supper, just coat the meat you are using and bake for
about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Good stuff!

We just had pork chops. SO marinated them in wine,
rosemary, and garlic. He then seared them in a pan and
finished cooking slowly. They are moist and very flavorful.

I'm a lazy cook, just sprinkle them with either onion salt or

Lawry's
seasoned salt and fry them in my cast iron frying pan.

do you make a gravy then?
reminds me of my childhood!
