Yesterday, I cooked top-loin pork chops in a spiced apple-bourbon sauce over white rice with fresh corn. If I were to fix one thing, white rice is low in dietary fiber, while brown and wild rices are full of them.... but I made up for that in other meals throughout the day. If it were me, I'd have a nice green veggie instead of the corn because I
like green veggies such as kale and broccoli. I think good old green beans would be nice with that, too. No criticism intended, just what I would have. Can you post the recipe for the spiced apple-bourbon sauce? Thanks for the good ideas

I have one tip: buy the right pan for whatever you're cooking. It takes 2 tbsp of oil to coat a 10" skillet, but only 1 tbsp to coat an 8" skillet. Imagine all the extra calories you're eating if you use a 10" skillet when a smaller 8" skillet would be sufficient! |

It's main focus is exercise -- including videos of hundreds of weightlifting exercises -- but there's also some good nutrition information. I didn't track the ingredients or proportions--I usually do that the second time I cook a dish, since the first time I'm liable to goof up. I'll let you know soon. 335/321/215 |
