Default Food & Exercise -- 11/21/2006

Spent the day at home until this evening, when we attended a county
planning board hearing to speak on behalf of my friend the winery
owner. (He has just opened a new winery, and the petition for his
special use permit to hold events was being decided tonight. It
passed :-).)

Tomorrow morning we head up to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving with my
in-laws, and I will probably be offline until we get home on Saturday
-- unless I can pick up a wireless signal at my MIL's house.

Food:

* 7:30 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese & 10g grated parmesan
* 10:00 (home): 3 medjool dates
* 2:00 (home): 4 oz. ground turkey breast burger on whole wheat
hamburger bun w/ 3 slices f/f cheese, dill pickle slics, & catsup
* 4:00 (home): Tootsie Pop
* 6:15 (home): 35g Pumpkin Granola, 35g All Bran, 22g whey protein,
13g flax seed, 1 1/4 cup skim milk {Didn't get around to a more normal
dinner before we left for the hearing.}
* 9:15 (Arby's, where we stopped on the way home): small roast beef
sandwich (2 oz. roast beef on bun), w/ mustard
* 10:30 (home): Tootsie Pop

Totals: 1493 calories, 35g fat (21%), 180g carbs (48%), 132g protein
(35%)

Exercise:

11:30 -- 3 mile run

I know you mentioned using an Excel document to track your daily
intake, and I'm wondering if you can share this document with me. I
don't know how to program macros and those drop-down menus in Excel,
but would like to try using it to track my intake. If you're not
comfortable sharing the file, I'll totally understand!

In the meantime, have a fantastic Thanksgiving!

Well, I'm happy to share it, but it doesn't transfer easily from one
computer to another. It's actually a couple of files that reference
one another, so there are path names embedded in it. After we get
back from Thanksgiving I'll see if there's a straightforward way to
package it up so you can instantiate it on your computer.

You have a great Thanksgiving too!

Great! Please don't go out of your way if it's too difficult to
transfer! I just wanted something easily acessible to me on my computer
and not on the web. (And I'm way too busy right now to be programming
something in FileMaker Pro, etc.!)

I've got fitday on a memory stick so I can access it anywhere there's a
computer. The stand-alone version is great. One of the best $20
investments I've made.
