Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone.

I guess I can post, I get an error message back every time I try to post
something to the group but then my post shows up. So go figure.

I just wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone and I look fwd to reading
all the posts and working on program this year.

For Lisa please be kind and gentle with your step daughter I too was
badgered when I was kid, at one point my mom offered me $5.00 for every
pound I would loose and back then that was alot of money and money my mom
and step dad did not have. Needless to say it only brought more attention
to the fact that I was no good the way I was and it still haunts me to this
day that I don't fit in, it does not matter how hard I try. It has caused
problems for me in my marriage, because for me I equate love with not being
good enough, so I can not ever truly just love freely. Try encouraging her
by example, that is what I have done with my son and you know what he gains
10 lbs then he looses them. At the ages of 12 to about 15 girls and boys
become chunky, it is hormones I think and then they start to slim down
again. Please just love her and go skating or biking whatever. If you
think biking is no good, I think it is better than watching TV and if she
likes more power to all of you. Take Care and keep us posted.
