Do you use separate bags for each day or just keep resealing one after
taking out some salad? And do you totally seal the bag or stop it before?
Just wondering if everything gets too crushed?

I put my salads in the large vacuum canister. That way I am not using
up the vacuum bags. Plus it won't crush whatever you put inside. With
the jar sealer you can use canning jars of various sizes. Using bags
all of the time starts to get to be a little expensive. I use bags
only for extended storage not for everyday things I may need to get
into.
YMMV

Here is the link to their home page with a product comparison chart.
http://www.tilia.com/products.cfm

Does anybody know what the diff is between the 360? and the 540?
models (can't remember the numbers exactly)? I couldn't tell any
difference myself except the 5something has a 3 and 1/4 quart
container bundled with it.

revek (seriously considering getting one just for salad as I am tired
of throwing out ruined lettuce and veggies)

It is also great for saving that 1/2 of avocado without having it turn
brown. It keeps it for several days

What a novel idea!
In my house, once an avacado gets cut the whole thing is devoured. I love
avacados!

I'm also thrilled because walmart had them on sale for 50 cents less per
avacado then the other grocery stores!!
