I am sure this question has been posted hundreds of times but I have not
been in the LC Newsgroup for a few months:

I have lost 25 lbs. in 3 mos which is 10% of my pre-diet weight and I
have plateau'd now. I haven't dropped a single pound in almost 3 weeks.
I am sticking to the plan rather faithfully with my carb count at
between 20 and 30 grams a day, which is the rate that allows me to
normally drop 1 1/2 to 3 lbs a week. What do I need to do to get off
this plateau? Or will my body eventually shake it off on its own?
HELP! I'm getting discouraged!

Default a Plateau question.......

Unfortunately with Plateaus it's difficult to say for certain what
might break them. ..
A few suggestions i've heard tossed around here include..

eating more carbs than normal for a day (maybe 2)
Eating more calories than normal (keeping Carbs steady)
Adding More exercise.
Checking and eliminating in some cases dairy items
checking your consumption of calories and re evaluating if need be
Upping your water intakes
eliminating caffeine.

It's mostly a 'your body , your science experiment thing' ... and
sticking true to the path you are on... usually produced the downward
trend continuing.

In my own opinion.. I would check your calories and perhaps you will
have to adjust there. I know myself.. I let a few more calories sneak
in than I thought.

I also started exercising regularly.. and am crediting that for
getting things going again.

Good Luck with whatever you find...
I hope you will find that some of this.. or maybe one of these will
help you.

Whoa. That's quite an update from "try harder." And you know what? I bet
it would work. I don't plan it this way, but some days I'll eat low-ish
fat and much lower calorie than others, while still being low-carb, and I
haven't stalled yet.

Don't get discouraged,,,,, maybe you are dropping sizes as your body makes
the transformation. One thing you will want to do is stay the course. Post
some food logs here and someone might spot something that is holding you
back. (lowcarb bars, peanuts, too much protein for example) Are you drinking
plenty of water? At least half of what you weigh? for example 200lbs try
drinking 100oz of water a day. Just some thoughts here to toss out!

Only in math. Sometimes the only way up is up, and the only way down is
down.
