Haha. Well, you're right, I don't get much protein, but I do get some.
There are many foods that have protein besides meat. I still eat dairy, so I get protein from that. I eat peanut butter and nuts, so I get some from those. This day I actually did get quite a few veggies from a large salad. For dinner, I had a large spinach salad, probably 3 servings worth. Maybe you could drink a glass or two of skim milk instead of cheetos. I know it doesn't taste as good. -- Del Cecchi "This post is my own and doesn’t necessarily represent IBM’s positions, strategies or opinions.” |

Yeah, that would probably be better for me, but days when I'm at school for hours at a time, I don't have access to glasses of skim milk, so I try to choose the least evil snack in the machine, which in this case was cheezits. Ah, instead of relying on machine snacks, have you ever considered bringing your own healthy snacks? A small cooler and some ice packs can work wonders for toting a healthy meal along. You could get a shaker bottle for instance, bring some whey protein along and just fill it at a water fountain, shake and drink. Add some nuts, maybe an apple, and you've got a way better and healthier snack. They also make canned tuna in one serving size packets... those need no cooling. (I can't remember if you eat fish or not.) Your body needs nutrition, not junk. -- Cynthia 262/227/152 |

Food and Workout Log 9/11/07
Why call this a food and workout log when there is never any work
out? I think the diet is made up by a troll. Its too bizarre. What's a bo berry biscuit? where did he/she get it? The food he/she supposedly eats is a bunch of nonsense and the author doesnt care. And who doesn't know much about healthy eating. But she does work out sometimes. |

But she does work out sometimes. - Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text -- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - She mostly eats at fast food places and from machines. And she's a vegetarian, but that seems to be sort of an excuse to eat mostly sweets and cheesy appetizers and such. She did work out quite a bit more before she went back to college. (She's young -- and probably doesn't eat a lot worse than a lot of young people -- but it will catch up with her :-).) I'm guessing a Bo Berry Biscuit is some kind of kid's food. She has a young child. Unfortunately, I fear she's feeding the child the same way she's eating, which isn't a bit healthy for a little kid. Chris 262/130s/130s |

That's what I'm thinking... I wasn't so fat in college at around 155 pounds, though I ate HORRIBLY most of the time, as bad as this or worse, but I was also much more active. It's when you get less active and get older, the bad eating habits you form in college catch up to you BIG TIME. Having a small child and being in school has got to be tough, but it would seem to me that one's body would need better nutritional support than this to keep up! Even if one isn't very into food prep or has little time for food prep, there's still ways to have a better diet than this. Or at least healthier snacks. But it's not necessarily easy to change, because the less time one has for food prep, the less time one probably has for planning/shopping ahead, and planning ahead is essential. In the long run, you've got to want to eat healthy to make the changes necessary. I'm guessing a Bo Berry Biscuit is some kind of kid's food. She has a young child. Unfortunately, I fear she's feeding the child the same way she's eating, which isn't a bit healthy for a little kid. That also worries me. Even if the child is getting healthier food than she eats the example being set is not a good one. -- Cynthia 262/227/152 |
