I made it
"JR" wrote in message ... "~Deb~" frigga@nospam wrote in message s.com... Well group, I've reached my goal. Now the hard part-toning it all up. I haven't been on the treadmill for months, and I have no place to set it Congrats! I think you'll find that the more you exercise, the more you'll like it. I feel "uncomfortable" now, if I don't get to exercise. For me, now, I only use the treadmill if I have to, like it's pouring rain, or 10 degrees out. I picked up running by getting bored walking on the treadmill. Now I run outside, 4 miles everyother day, at 5:00 AM. It's SO much more interesting to run outside, the time passes MUCH more quickly. Nothing wrong with walking though. I also picked up a gym membership. Go there three times a week (down from 6, now that it's not so cold). I used the $500 that I plopped down in the beginning as incentive to go, otherwise a wast of money. Now, I WANT to go. With regard to keeping the weight off. It's been pretty easy so far. I've been maintaining for 4 months now, but I think the exercising helps. Good luck! Jeff Thank you! I just need to get in the right mind-set, and I'm on my way! I do get alot of exercise anyway though, running around after my 2 grandkids...) |

Now the hard part-toning it all up. I haven't been on the treadmill for months, and I have no place to set it up(inside my house, anyway), so I have to figure out a way to either get it set up out in the shed and run an extension cord into the house to turn it on, or start walking up and down our road. I know I should have been exercising all along, but I don't really like to exercise. The dieting was the easy part, compared to what I know I have to do now.... I just want to say thank you for all ya'll have done to help me & encourage me along the way, this is a great group of serious "losers".......) ¸..· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- Debby -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´* 188/133/135 |

Thanks....MaryAnn C From what I've read, it's fairly easy to lose weight without exercising. Just eat less. The problem is keeping it off. Most people who successfully MAINTAIN a weight loss use exercise. It makes sense. Your body will preserve metabolism-boosting muscle if you're doing weight-bearing exercises and be more likely to lose weight from FAT versus muscle. That means that your resting metabolic rate will be higher when you're at your goal weight if you exercise. That means you can eat more without gaining weight. Dally 244/181/170 |

Thanks....MaryAnn C Well, welcome! I know I should have been exercising all along, then I wouldn't have the loose skin and slack muscle tone that I have now, but it's not too late for me to start an exercise program. Basically, I just tracked what I ate every day, and kept my calorie intake under 1200 calories per day. Good luck to you! Debby 188/129/135 |

Basically, I just tracked what I ate every day, and kept my calorie intake under 1200 calories per day. That's exactly the tactics that I followed and reached my goal. However, I admit that if I exercised a little, it would be easier to maintain my weight. So far, I managed to stay more or less at my target weight since about the middle of last December. -- Franklin Smart Congratulations! I don't track what I eat online anymore, but I still eat the same things I ate since I started the diet in August... I just can't seem to start eating new stuff, I guess i'm scared I'll gain the weight back...... |
