Default I took a walk!!

After reading this NG this afternoon... I actually got my Hubby to go for a
walk with me! Unfortunately, he wanted to walk to Taco Bueno (there is one
about a mile from where I live). It's a start, right???

Yep! And, even if he doesn't want to walk with you, who's to say you can't
go out on your own.

Walking is fun.

It is a start, and it will keep you thinking that you need more. That's
how I started. One day at a time - one step at a time. My son and I are
now walking up to 6miles each afternoon.

Keep going

Since I've been on HMR, we don't go out to eat at all anymore.... this will
probably be a good way for us to connect again!

Remember the old proverb that a journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single
step...

DH and I got him a bike this past spring so he could join me on weekend
rides and he really enjoys them. We also walk together at times and now that
I'm in shape, I can help him on some of his jobs on the weekends. It took
the place of our "together" time over meals. Now that I have a laptop and
we built our house with network jacks in every room, I can sit with him
while he watches tv and I can get my work done (or catch up here) instead
of locking myself away in my office. I also cut back a little on the going
out with my friends - actually I changed it from sitting in the bar on
Fridays to volleyball league on Wednesdays and open gym volleyball on
Tuesdays) in order to spend some quiet time together.

It's important to make some time to connect. The changes in you affect him
too, just in a different way.

That sounds great. We are planning on walking again tomorrow. Why didn't
you just get a wireless hub? Those are great and you don't have to build
jacks everywhere. The prices have dropped alot lately as well. Hubby and I
use one.

Leave hubby at home. Get yourself a personal cd player or mp3 player, and
hustle to your favorite music. Walking is where it all started for me, last
summer. I've lost 30 lbs since then (ok, I'm a little slow) and I feel
wonderful. Of course, I also lift weights, which I am a very strong
believer in...

Because we built the house 3 years ago and believe it or not, wireless just
wasn't an option.
