Apples, Apples, Apples
I haven't eaten any fruit in 5 years, but I just started adding an

I've always thought Granny Smiths, because they're very tart, had less

I had a red apple today (probably my 3rd since Feb 1) and it was
deeeeeee-lish-ussss. I'm thinking about adding one in every two or three days, and seeing if it affects my loss. I'm following the rule of Sugar Busters, which is to not eat it with meals but rather 1 hour before or 2-3 hours after. Richard 247/184/175 "Jim Marnott" wrote in message ... I believe that the differences between varieties are very, very small compared to the total amounts of carbs and fiber, and compared to the variation from fruit to fruit even within a variety because of the sizes of individual fruits. I would just select whichever varieties I like from the apples that look good and fresh at the store on the day I am shopping for them. Indeed, that is what I do; I love apples and eat them often. I started LC at 190 last November and lost 30 lbs. by January. After
staying at 160 for several months, I began adding fruit to my diet, since that is what I missed most during my weight loss period. I usually have fruit for lunch - 2 or 3 pieces. I eat pears, plums, apples, oranges, apricots - whatever I find that looks good. 2 larger pieces or 3 smaller pieces usually fill me up and I don't get hungry again for about 5 hours. Since I began eating fruit for dessert, a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and a salad with meat and cheese for dinner, I've lost another 5 lbs. "RT" wrote in message m... Just an intersting observation that I don't know will hold true for everyone,
but I'm doing Neaderthin and made the decision the other day to add more fruit to my diet. Yesterday I have 1/2 cup of cantelope, an apple, about 10 grapes and half a box of raisens along with my usual food (spread out evenly through the day). At the end of the day I was over 100 grams of carbs with 30 grams fiber and was still in ketosis. Usually when I went about 40 before, I was knocked out. Did the same thing today and still in ketosis.Don't know what this means, but I had avoided fruit for the past year and I welcome the change.
