Bought a Jack Lalane(sp?) juicer yesterday. Any sites that have tasty
fruit/veg recipes?

Juice is all sugar.

I know. People get those cocktail drinks with even MORE sugar added,
but the 100% juice drinks sold in stores are already very high sugar.
People want the sweetness, so they use really ripe fruit I guess. I
never drink anything I can eat. Nutritionist tell us that drinking
calories isn't so good for diets. Much better to eat an orange, than
drink orange juice for a couple of reasons: 1), you would likely drink
more than one orange equivalent, and 2), the calories would go down
very quickly and your brain might not think you'd eaten anything.
Now, you could juice vegetables though, like tomatoes, carrots, etc. I
don't like vegetables that way (V-8 is not for me) and again you would
likely consume your calories much more quickly which isn't good for
dieters, but the nutrition should be good and you could control the
quality of the ingredients and put together your own particular
mixture of veggies. If I didn't have teeth or couldn't chew, I might
do my veggies with a juicer, but that's the only way. I suppose the
other reason a person could use the juicer is if they really hated
vegetables and held their nose to down a cup of vegetable juice to get
the agony over with. dkw
