I have been dieting for seven months - low carb mostly. I started in
June, 2003 when my blind aunt commented on my weight gain. I think I
weighed about 195 then. I am now 173 and have ben fluctuating between
173 and 178 since October, 2003. I also take Depo - Provera for birth
control. Has anybody out there have succeeded in getting to their goal
on Depo? Tell me what you did!!!

LBM - 117 lbs.
goal 140
195/173/140
waist 32.75 inches
hips - 43.25 inches
chest - 35.5 inches

Yup! And successful too.

Work hard, eat light (low cal) and exercise my butt off.

If I don't watch it, I gain very easily. So I just have to always stay in
"diet mode". But I will allow indulgences occassionally.

I've been on Depo for about 5 yrs now. I never had alot to lose, but I was
at my heaviest at about the time I started Depo and I lost about 20lbs or so
while on it. It was slow going and took alot of little changes over a long
period of time, but eventually the hard work paid off and the weight came
off, the muscle mass retained and I look good.

I've been on depo for several years. I lost the weight I needed to (about
30 lbs) the same way other people do. Eat less, exercise more. Depo really
hasn't impacted my diet or weight loss at all.

It's good to hear that others have been successful in losing weight on
Depo. I am going to continue to diet and exercise because no matter
what, that is the only solution. I just have to figure out how much to
diet and how much to exercise to get the weight moving down. Right
now, I have decided that the most important factor is the number of
calories that I consume.

Well, since no ones given you the link to our guru, Mistress Krista, I'll do
it:

http://www.stumptuous.com/weights.html

You'll find some of the best advice there that you could find anywhere.

Good luck,

Tonia

Thanks a lot! I have done some weight training in the last 7 months
but I know I need to ramp it up. The beginners workout #2 will be my
starting place, as I work out at home. This should get me over my Depo
Provera blues!
