Default Food & Exercise -- 9/24/2003

Food:

7:30 (driving to gym): energy bar
9:30 (diner w/ Tom, after workout): 2 fried eggs; English muffin w/
butter; 8 oz. ornge juice
12:00 (work, brought from home): 66g gyro meat; 1 cup light f/f peach
yogurt
3:30 (driving back from eye docor): 1 cup red grapes
5:30 (home): 1.5 oz mixed nuts
7:30 (home): 110g hamburger, extra lean, w/ 2 slices melted f/f/
cheese, in 1/2 pita pocket

Totals: 1519 calories, 60g fat 936%), 144g carbs (38%), 102g protein
(27%)

8:00 a.m. -- Execise (agility stuff):

Seated leg extension machine: 1x10x30 w/ each leg separately; then
drop set -- as many as I could do (both legs together) at each weight,
with no rest between: 1x13x150; 1x9x110; 1x7x60

Leg curl machine (the sort where you're lying prone): 1x7x70 (all I
could manage)

Hip adductor and abductor machines: 1x10x70 on each

Rabbit jumps: length of basketball court (Pretty hard, but I made it.)

One court length each of: skipping; walking kicking front leg up to
opposite outstretched hand; high-knee run; butt-kick run

Passing basketball back and forth with Tom (reaction time drill):
a) While standing around 8 ft. apart -- 10 passes (just practicing
learning the right way to catch and pass)
b) While both side shuffling from center to one side line, to other
side line, and back to center, parallel to & facing each other and
still around 8 ft. apart -- twice
c) While I did side shuffle as above and Tom stayed in one spot
around 15 ft. from my starting point -- twice
I caught all of these until the last one, which he came in close and
threw fast. Unfortunately, that hit the tip of my left ring finger
and jammed it, so it's swollen and sore tonight. Oh well :-).

Sprints: 5 * length of basketball court

2 * (sprint halfway up long edge of court, reverse direction and run
backwards the rest of the way up that edge, sprint across short edge,
run backwards halfway down long edge, reverse direction and sprint the
rest of that long edge and the final short edge)

2 * (start at free-throw line, sprint to center court, side shuffle to
edge, touch down outer hand, side shuffle to other edge, touch down,
side shuffle back to center, run backward back to starting point)
