Default MP3 Player

On the heels of the "Fav songs on the MP3 Player" thread....

What "personal audio devices" do you guys have, and do you like them?

Right at the moment, I have an old, cheap, AM/FM/Tape Sony Walkman, that
does OK, but I really want something that can do digital.

BUT, it HAS to have FM, since, at the gym, that's the way you get the TV
sound.

I rarely use the tape portion, but somedays I do.

CD players are too large, and Mini-Disc players, while OK in size I don't
want either, too expensive and I don't do mini-discs, so....

Also, a player with a hard disk in it (like the IPod, EXPENSIVE!) seems out,
especially if you're running outside, where it will be bumping around, as
opposed to inside on a treadmill, where you can set it down and still run.

I've been looking around, and I see the

iRiver (seems too large),
Creative MuVo, LIKE THE SIZE, but NO FM!!!
MPIO - everything looks great!, but, it's from Korea, is it a piece of junk?
Also, reports of the leather outer case getting in the way of the buttons
Rio - disk based
Samsung Yepp - once again, Korean, but at least a decent Korean name
Other "off" brands

Anyone have one of these, or something not listed? How do you like them?
Eas of use? Ease of "programming"? Price?

Thanks,

Jeff

I have a Rio Sport 128 and it has a FM tuner built in. Check
www.epinions.com for other mp3 players.

My mp3 player doesn't have anything but the mp3 player but that's all I
need. It's an irock model 520. It's made in Korea and was very inexpensive
(I think $79-80) and has held up very well. I've dropped it many, many
times by accident and it's survived very well.

I have a Memorex MMP8500. It was $99 at Target and has worked very well. It
has an FM tuner, a built in stopwatch, and an armband. I've given it some
abuse (sweat, dropping it, etc.) and it's still going strong. Firmware
upgrades have been easy to install. I'm very happy with it.

Well that's just wonderful. What the hell does that have to do with

Your iPod probably costs as much as a years gym membership alone!

Do you ever run with it?

What does this whole discussion have to do with dieting?

i

Just out of curiousity, I took you off killfile and read some of your posts.
WTF did your raise have to do with dieting?????? And why the **** would you
even bring it up, unless it was to slap some folks in here in the face? The
same folks who probably have you killfiled. So, not only did you waste your
time you proved once again what at a**hole you really are.

MP3s, at least has something to do with working out. You bragging about how
much more you're going to make has nothing to do with anything.

Back to the killfile you hypocritical, self-centered, egotistical ignoramus.
At least you have your name right.

Martha, this thread has been about recommendations for an MP3 player to use
while working out. Last time I checked, working out was an integral part of
weight loss, though technically not dieting which has to do more with food.
Let's not let actual facts get in the way of ignorance, it only proves you
have some serious emotional issues to deal with - or maybe just that you
know how to read.
