Default Need motivation? The President's Challenge - Alt.Support.Diet group

I found out about it through my husband. And I formed an
Alt.Support.Diet group if people want to join. It's OK to be in more
than one group... because George works for the government, I'm also in
the Department of Commerce group.

Anyway, it's a way to log your fitness activities. For some of us, it
might be useful motivation! It got me to the gym today!

I was also amused tonight... as I was forming the group, I got a
pop-up asking me what the heck I was doing sitting at the computer
when I could be out and active! That's the kind of pop-up I might
need! G

So here's the boilerplate...

together: Alt.Support.Diet

This is a good idea, Cynthia.

I'll be joining you. I just started a spreadsheet at home for biking as I
want to chart my progress on specific types of rides. This site will be
great for tracking overall activities.

It's nice to see you back in the group. Hope to see you posting often.

I joined. And since my DS has barely missed the presidents challenge
fitness - only due to his running times - and let me tell you, he's a fast
runner at that - we are BOTH working on it this year.

Every year in school, DS gets the 2'nd highest award, but can't achieve the
highest award due to run times. Yet, out on the soccer field, he's the
fasted kid out there running around the field when they do laps - I don't
understand - other than the highest award has some pretty stenuous goals for
elementary age kids. He has no problem doing the pushups, chinups, situps
portion...

So, this will be good for all of us.

Now, If I could get us out to that track that is made of rubber on a more
regular basis.. That is awesome to run on.

Thank you Cynthia for doing this! These are the kinds of postive
activities we need in this group for supporting each other. You should
make a weekly post for newbies, etc. to encourage them to join. I've
signed on.
