Default Red wine

Hi,

Would drinking a bottle of red wine a day for 3 weeks give one
something akin to a 'beer belly' or can you not get a 'wine belly' ?

Mant Thanks,

VJ

I think beer has carbs that wine may lack.

A glass of red wine - about 6 ounces or 170 ml has about 150 calories.
A typical bottle of 750 ml has about 600-660 calories in it. So,
that's a reasonable number of extra calories and for many people would
result in 1 lb plus per week weight gain, unless they were eating less
to compensate.

Ounce for ounce, wine has more calories than beer, but people tend to
drink more beer than wine in terms of volume per sitting (i.e. I
believe 12 ounces of beer have about 120 calories).

So yeah, drinking wine can make you fat. Booze in general is a lot of
relatively empty calories.

Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon have extra health benefits for cardio-health
if taken in moderation that beer lacks.

Someone told me that Pinot Noir was quite beneficail as well, something
to do with resversatol.

Is drinking a bottle of red every night a bit much or normal, i'm just
not sure whether it is safe...i do take selenium, ALA, green tea
extract,milk thistle,omega-3's daily as well.

Thanks

new reply:

They sell red wine pills to get the resversatol without having any alcohol.

Some alcoholics seem to work to maintain a constant blood level of alcohol.

This substance comes from the grapes, and so constitutes no excuse for
alcoholism. You can get the same benefit, if not greater, by eating
grapes. Muscadine grapes have the highest content.

Bottle of red per day = clear, definite alcoholic.

So do you dip your cigar in flax seed oil before lighting it, or how
does it work?
