Hey angie, I really enjoy your posts. I work nights too, I get off at
midnight though. You only weigh 130??? You must be pretty short if you
want to lose weight!! Now that I know you're so small to start with, I'm
gonna give you some more advice and info: people who have less to lose
usually lose more slowly. Please keep that in mind and don't get
discouraged because of it. It's great that you'll be going to a gym though,
I hope you'll be doing weight training as well as aerobics. Depending on
your height and build, you may find that you don't need to lose _weight_ at
all, but maybe you just need to lose fat. The great thing about weight
training is that if you build muscle mass, you will be smaller even if you
don't lose a pound, because muscle takes up less room than fat at the same
weight. Since you're probably not trying to lose a whole lotta weight I
hope they don't just weigh you at the gym, but measure you too.

I work at a movie theater, usually 4 to midnight. Hmm, if you're 5'4" and
130, you might already be at a healthy weight. I'm 5'4 and 3/4" and 130 is
actually my goal weight. 10 or 15 pounds may be too much to lose. I hope
they do some sort of figure analysis at your gym, and test your body fat
percentage, so you can know if you really need to lose weight. Even if you
don't need to lose weight, you may need to lose fat and gain muscle, in
which case exercise and low-carb will help. Low-carb can also help
eliminate sugar addictions, give you more energy (especially if you're like
me and were not getting enough protein on high-carb.) If it turns out
you're already at healthy weight range, you could probably do a more
moderate version of low-carb and just eliminate refined sugars.
