UK Lo-Carbers??
There are many UK low carbers ... here is a forum just for them:

I've just tried the flaxseed bread. I made half the dough into a loaf (which has just come out of the oven, and is in serious danger of having its crust nicked), and used the other half as pizza dough. Stretching it out was an interesting exercise - you were not kidding about the dough being Rubbery! : ) - but it's just passed my personal gold standard test; an hour after enjoying it my blood sugar is 5.3, absolutely normal. Hubby complained that the colour was very "virtuous", but had seconds : ) So thanks for what looks like being a regular treat! Working out exactly what the carb count might be is a headache, but I reckon it's 3-5g per slice. Ish. I think lunch tomorrow might be a sandwich : ) Nicky. Oh, Nicky, I'm sooo glad, because this is my own invention. I make it 5 g per slice depending on how thickly you slice! Enjoy! -- Jane Lumley |
