Default LDL does not cause heart disease

See also "The Cholesterol Myths", which discusses this whole LDL/HDL
debacle. For more info:

While we're at it, total cholesterol does not cause heart disease. See

Based on the "textures" of serum specimens in the lab, I'm convinced
that Triglyceride levels have a hell of a lot more to do with
cardiovascular disease. ;-)

And those are created more by sugars that fats? Correct?

Yep,

But the truth is not very profitable for the big drug companies or the AMA.
It would put a lot of people out of business in he medical field if it were
widely known that even extremely high triglyceride levels can be
dramatically reduced to normal levels in as little as 90 days with no
drugs -- simply by following a low-carb diet.

Hell yeah!
I've been called a liar many times quoting Al's blood levels! We ran
them ourselves dammit! He started induction with a Triglyceride level of
around 800.

Only 2 weeks later it was 90.......

That's a pretty drastic drop but he was very, very strict with his
induction. ;-)

Well, I believe it. I've said many times that my triglycerides were
initially off my doctor's meaurable scale ("650+"), and were at a normal
level when retested after 90 days of 20g carbs/day.

Simple carbs are evil........ ;-)
Too bad candybars and sugar soft drinks can't be banned.
Talk about selling toxic waste!

Uhm, actually, no.

http://www.thincs.org/

Please note how thincs and Rawnskow are actually quite silent about
LDL/HDL ratios.

In fact, only thing you can find about ratio is Kendricks quote of
ApoA1/ApoB ratios - and there he seems to admit it has something to do
with CVD.

Absolute LDL or TC numbers are useless. But I would not say that whole
lipid profile has nothing to do with CVD odds.

(In reality, that may mean that diet able to increase HDL and decrease
TG is quite good
