Whoa - water chestnuts high carb?
Well if that's all you're eating it's high.. if you are putting them in a
recipe and spreading around the carbs it's not so bad at all. Teeb "Crafting Mom" wrote in message ... Lizard wrote: http://fitday.com/WebFit/FoodFacts.a...590&OwnerID=13 6 net grams for a 1/2 cup? yikes! 6 net grams is high for that amount? |

Oh, I didn't realize that a pile of water chestnuts was what the OP was going for I just find it amazing that people will freak out over 6 carbs in a handful of water chestnuts and yet embrace 6 carbs in an Atkins "nutrition" bar LOL I was in a "nutrition center" not long ago, and this guy was gushing over this (candy) bar that had "only six carbs!" |

Whoa - water chestnuts high carb?
LOL.. well I think he was talking about snacking on them.. sounded like that
to me anyway. I think the more filling something is, the more people tend to accept a slightly higher carb count.. to me, water chestnuts are something to slice up and throw into a stir fry. A bar (can't stand any of them) is probably more filling and seems like I treat I guess.. Teeb "Crafting Mom" wrote in message ...
