As long as you're willing to let your goals slide a bit, there's nothing
wrong with your approach, imo. Some people set a goal and get all "bent"
when it doesn't come about.

Oh, or you may say.. Panties up in a bunch.

I set a goal at the beginning of summer, for a certain weight. Don't look like
I am going to make the goal. I could possibly.. Not sure yet. Just don't seem
like it right now. Not getting bent out of shape over it though. Maybe more
willpower.

I added swimming in to the exercise. Found a place with open swim, for adults,
early morning. Plan on doing it a couple days a week.. Or as much as I can
hadle.

I cannot handle freestyle. It hurts my back. I can handle breast stroke though.
I don't care if I am slow either. Its great exercise in the water, and easy on
the joints and back. Hopefully the swimming will be of help, in getting to the
goal I set. Who knows.

Maybe true, but I personally have never had that much.

That's mostly untrue.

I don't think you have enough data for that...there are only a handful
here
who fit in that group, and there are many people who don't bike that
haven't
lost all of the extra (whatever that means) bodyfat. And also, you're
assuming that losing all of the extra bodyfat is the holy grail....good
exercise for it's own sake has rewards.

But as with anything, carbing up has it's drawbacks.

I've had no troubles whatsoever losing bodyfat. How many fat bicyclists
do you see?
