We had a much better experience at church today. We went to Sunday School and found a class where everyone is in our age range. It wasn't so much like sitting around talking to my mother. Oh GOOD. I do hope they were friendly and welcoming; that's so very important, too. For me, that is more important than what age people are. -- Annabel - "Mrs Redboots" 90/88.5/80kg Don't get me wrong, I've met some very nice older people. I went by the real estate office that we went through for the house to drop off their sign and had a nice chat with the realtor and she's my mom's age. I just that I think I'll have more in common and more things to talk about and more things that we could do together with people closer to my own age. I can't imagine someone my mothers age enjoying going to see something like "Meet the Fockers" or that movie about the giant Anacondas, for example. Before you say anything Diva Carol, I know that *you* might! I think you're probably way kewler than my mom. (I haven't seen her posting since I've been able to read the group again so I hope she's still around.) Tonia |
