Default Update on new eating plan

To be honest, I am afraid to get on the scale because I got so discouraged
before when I was trying so hard but not losing. However, I must be losing
because people are telling me I look like I am! And my clothes are looser.
Yeah! I think the difference in this plan and my prior is actually just a
few more carb servings. That really low carb thing was not for me. I was
very lethargic and always feeling hungry. I recently discovered that on a
closet cleaning frenzy over the winter, I got rid of most of my summer tops
because they were too big. Darn, now I have to go shopping!

My rehab is going nicely. Ahmed is pushing my knee faster than the doc
wanted, but I trust him implicitly; he is very knowledgeable about
recovering from injuries. The funniest thing happened Tuesday when I was
delightedly doing muscle snatches (my first time with almost a full
movement in three weeks) and I went up on my toes to pull and *sproing* I
pulled a tendon in my foot. At first I thought I broke a bone because I
heard something pop. Ahmed says no and has adjusted my foot twice and
massaged it. Now, at least I can walk with a bit of a bend in it.
Naturally, it is my left foot so I have both legs hurting. Sigh. I will
note, however, than I have experienced tremendous pain relief since the
surgery. I had no idea how bad it was, until it went away. I still need to
learn how to go up and down steps one foot at a time, but that will come I
am sure...I have favored the one leg for so long I have actually lost
confidence to do steps normally!

I think I will weigh on Monday morning...it will keep me honest over the
weekend...although I have to travel to New Jersey for a meet with my son
(road food and after the meet food always seems to make me hold water) and
Sunday is a big brunch with the gang from the gym. Um...maybe I will weigh
next Friday. Have a good weekend everyone.

Elise.

Congrats on the loose clothing - it's a sure sign that stepping on the
scales won't be a disappointment. I know how much women hate to go
shoppingG

Glad to hear the knee is healing and the pain has subsided.
