actually I kind of like the feeling of starving or controling my cravings ...
you might think I'm crazy but I am kind of addicted to that feeling.

Do be very careful - it sounds as though you might be heading towards an
eating disorder and, as I'm sure you know, that can be very dangerous.

Well, it seems I've lost two pounds in the past week, despite eating
rather carelessly (not excessive calories, but more sugar and fat than
usual) and exercising less. Today I weighed in at 141. I'm feeling a
little conflicted about whether to change my goal range (145-150).
It's hard to feel like I want to gain weight -- after all this time
focusing on losing -- but I'm certainly not trying to continue losing
either. I'm going to up my daily calorie target to 1500 (has been
1400 for the last few weeks), though I don't know that I'll hit it
today as I feel like I'm starting a cold and my throat is sore. I
think I'll leave my goal range as is for now and play it by ear.

Wow, your continued loss is amazing, Chris! I agree -- see what happens with your
body naturally and perhaps set a "too low" mark where you might want to consult with
a good nutritionist or get bloodwork done or something just so you have the peace of
mind knowing that all systems are go. 1500 calories sounds like a good strategy.

Seems colds are going around. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks :-). So far it's still just a sore throat and general
tiredness.

Troll or serious eating disorder?

Chris (the OP) is UPPING her calories to 1500, not
cutting to 1500--she's contemplating GAINING to
maintain her goal weight range.

Amy

Yep :-). I don't think she read my message very carefully. And I'd
probably vote for troll, given the contentious tone of her posts. But
who knows?
