Default shopping report

I know it's been a while since I initiated a post, but I wanted to
give a small update while I have the time. I have been lurking here,
however!

Last saturday I was scouring garage sales for pants. This summer, my
sizes have started to drop, so I find it hard to buy full priced
clothing while in transition. On the other hand, I can't wear gigantic
clothes.

No luck at any of the tag sales, so I moved on to the Salvation Army.
I walked out of there with 2 pairs of jeans in size 12 (roomy & comfy
for now) 1 pair of jeans in a 10 (I'll get there very very soon, fit
fine, but a little more snug than I care for) and 1 pair of GAP khakis
in...wait for it...size 8. 8! Me! I think the last time I wore an 8, I
was a freshman in high school. I have been a 16 so long I never
imagined the euphoria! LOL! So, I know I'm not an 8 and it was
probably a freak, but they fit me like they came from a tailor. :-)

Great ego boost.

I am 2 lbs away from my original short term goal, so I'm officially
dropping my sig to my next STG. As an added bonus, due to my WOL,
hubby has lost those pesky 20lbs that have plagued him for the last 5
years or so. It's nice to see the family getting healthy!

Wow so happy for you!!! I hope to be where you are sometime next year.
You're start weight and goal is similar to mine. Do you mind my asking how
long you have been doing this?
Take Care!

Thanks! I have been at it since March. I typically eat 1200 cals m-f
and 1500 on the weekends. I also exercise about 14 hours a week, which
sounds like a lot, but swimming in the summer doesn't feel like work
to me! :-)

I'm not sure what WOE/WOL you're following, but this has worked out
awesome for me and I can live with it forever. :-)

Good Luck & I'll be watching your progress!

Wear leggings! They'll last you for many, many pounds.

Very much so - you've done a fantastic job. I am totally impressed, and
if we had smilies on Usenet, I'd put a "bow" one here!
