Today's plan:

Breakfast:
banana sandwich: 3.5 points

What's a banana sandwich? Sliced banana on bread? Frankly, doesn't sound
that appetizing to me, but then I eat stuff that would have most people go
"Ick!"

Anny

Anny,
Tell us something that you think would make us say ick.

Last night I cooked in a pan sprayed with pam olive oil.
canned corn
onion
tomato
mushrooms
yellow bell pepper

I also grilled some tilapia fish with seasoning.

No one in the house would eat this but I thought is was delicious.

5 points

Yes, just sliced or mashed banana between two slices of good quality
bread. Lazy food for when I need a fast breakfast on the hoof!

I don't bother buttering the bread. I have been known to cram in the
bread first, and follow it with the banana, but the banana sandwich is
better unless you have really fresh chunky type bread/.

Anny,
Tell us something that you think would make us say ick.

I put hot sauce on my turkey and dressing instead of gravy. I have not yet
graduated to the level of my mom who puts hot sauce on her pancakes instead
of syrup, but that does sound sorta good to me and I'll probably try it
someday.

Sounds delicious to me.

I also like lima beans and brussel sprouts and liver -- three foods that a
lot of people find icky.

Sure... Mom used to make my sister and I banana sandwiches with peanut
butter when we were kids. That or PB and pepperoni, which I'm beginning to
think is a Canadian thing, because I've never found anyone anywhere else who
has heard of this.

Then again, my GF is English and her family makes "chip buddies" (french fry
sandwiches). Starch on carbs... yum!

You really got me thinking with this subject!

A typical day for me, before ww, could look something like this:

A large bowl of müsli (preferably the crispy-chokolade variety) for
breakfast (I used skimmed milk though! ;-))

A bun with butter and cheese at the morning coffee in the office

Lunch was whatever was served at the canteen (it still is, but I'm a lot
more picky as to what ends up on my plate now ;-)) - our chef has
definately not read the guidelines for healthy nutrition! (considering
that I work for the Veterinary and Food Administration, I find this quite
ironic...)

The afternoon coffee was usually served with some kind of pastry...

My favourite dinnerdish last summer was rucola-salat with cucumber,
avocado, green pebber and fresh mozarella cheese, this was accompanied by
some kind of chips (fries) - my favourite was the ovenbaked mashed
potatoes kind, often I had a baguette with garlicbutter on the side...

I haven't added it all up (but then, I don't need to, to know that it is
waaaay to much) - quite fun thinking about it know and wondering exactly
how my stomach would react to this now...
