Default Report jumps to a conclusion

I found this today:

http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/462948?mpid=19832

It reports that

"Fifty-five percent of the U.S. population was overweight for the 52 weeks
ended in February, down slightly from 56% the prior year, the study,
conducted by market research group NPD Group, found."

It then goes on to speculate that people are finally exercising more,
eating more fruits and veggies, etc. One guy even says it's a return to
the 80's.

You don't suppose this could have anything to do with the fact that many
Americans are jettisoning the food pyramid, do you? Nah, didn't think so.
:-)

Or to frowst with a book by the fire,
But to take a large hoe and a shovel also,
And to dig till you gently perspire.

Truth is, none knows. For that matter. MORE people could be on the
Food Pyramid for all you know.

It was a long reach to extract any conclusions whatsoever about the
Food Pyramid.

Truth is, it was a long reach for the cited report to conclude any
damn thing from the one fact they had available. That was the point
of Chakote's post, which as usual, went right over your head.
