Default Induction stupidity!

I've read the Atkins book and had been on 8 days of a cheat free
induction. I have a quick question which some may think is stupid/anal
retentive, but I want to try to go as "by the book" as possible. I
have about 20lbs total to lose. I have lost around 4/5 already. I want
to go into OWL right after the 2 weeks of induction because I have no
problem loosing the rest slowly and growing into this WOE. Here is my
dilemma. Yesteday I picked up some diet rite after reading it was ok
for induction. My mother poured some for me and made a drink for her
self (Royal Crown and Coke). Well, like a dummy I grabbed the wrong
glass and took a big swig of her drink. I could not believe it. I've
been done with sugar cravings and everything. Here is my question.
Technically, am I supposed to start induction back at day 1 because of
this? Or should I add an extra day to the 14? I'm confused. Any advise
would be appreciated.

Personally, I'd call it an "oops" and just get back with the program.

I would just continue on as if this had never happened. If you want,
there would be no harm in adding an extra day of induction. I don't
think there is any hard and fast rule about this. Also, a single swig
of a sugar-containing pop won't have much of an effect.

you should relax. you took ONE DRINK of something you shouldn't
have...big deal. as long as the rest of your intake for the day was
according to plan, you have nothing to worry about.

Technically you should reset the clock to day one. On the one hand
there are a lot worse thnigs in the world than spending an extra week
on Induction to get it right. On the other hand exactly how technical
you want to get depends on your own judgement. Lots take a few running
starts, but does an honest mistake when you actually knew better call
for it?
