Hi, Lee, After 2 weeks of journaling with the Core, I'm letting go of the
journal just keeping track of Allowance and Acitity points. I think this
program is very good at keeping me focused and back where I want to be.

I think I felt it was snatched away and I had placed a bunch of the "need to
be perfect" into it. Now that I figured out how to do it on the flex part
of the web site and do the core plan I am able to relax about it. I felt I
had grossly overeaten today as we ate at two different buffets. Once to sit
and do paperwork, and once with friends which was unplanned. When DH and I
talked about it I think I had around 26 points in the two meals, no snacks
and no shakes. and all on core, I am very pleased with myself today, Lee

Hi, Lee, Wonderful news, all around! I found that the journal isn't

nearly
as important to me, either. I have it if I want it but now, I think I

could
do a week without and still be on program.
I hope Miss Violette soon forgets about the antibiotics.

I lost 1.4 this week, this is a total of 94 pounds. I now weigh 157.6 and
this is the lowest I remember weighing in a long time. I have figured out

a
way to journal but since I did it doesn't seem nearly as important. I

guess
I want it available should I need it. I have now committed to the core

plan
for two more weeks to get me through a convention. I did get the good fat
in every day so I think that made a difference. I seem to be eating more
points but healthier ones. I am going to work a bit on the journal and

see
if this is the right assessment. I have had another very stressful week.
The pathologist said Miss Violette's growth was a cyst with a name I can't
pronounce but the vet got all of it and it was benign. She is recovering
nicely and except for the look of death we get when she gets her

antibiotics
things are back to normal. I am getting used to the core plan and now

think
I can use either one depending on the structure of my week, Lee, who hopes
everyone else has a great week

Hi, Anny, Nice work with the cat drugs! Many people would have had the
animal put down but you and your husband are special people to have found a
better way to deal with the situation.

Great news on the loss! Wonderful news about Miss Violette! Even if giving
her the pill gets you that kitty "get away from me!" look.

It always takes both me and my DH to pill one of our cats. More than 3
years ago our big boy, Jimmy Morrison, was diagnosed with heart disease and
the vet prescribed a pill. Well, I couldn't see pilling him every day for
years, not to mention that we do like to get away on vacation now and then
and we *can't* ask the neighbors to give him a pill.

So I did some investigation and we now get his medicine mail ordered from
Veterinary Pharmacies of America in a tuna-flavored liquid that we drizzle
on his food. He likes it okay and it's not much hassle for us. His vet
told me that cats with HCM (his heart disease) rarely do as well as he is
doing, either because they don't get the medicine regularly or because just
giving them the pill is so stressful it puts strain on the heart.

At any rate, you probably don't want to special-order Miss Violette's med
since it will be short-term, but if you ever need to give her meds for a
long period I highly recommend the flavored liquid route. Or the "med in
flavored treat" form that VPA also does.

I'm not affiliated with VPA, just a satisfied customer.
