An induction question
Hey all! I've been lurking on this newsgroup for a little while and
find it interesting reading. I'm not really doing Atkins, just sticking to whole and multigrains and elminating processed food as much as possible. Probably eating about 100 grams of carbohydrates a day, give or take. I do have a question about Atkins, though and I wonder if someone who's done induction can answer it. I understand induction acts as a kind of natural diuretic and you can lose a couple pounds of water weight in the first two weeks or so. How does this translate into inches and if you do lose inches where do they tend to be from? I'm asking for a slightly selfish reason, I want to wear a certain dress for a wedding and it would look better if I had an inch less stomach. I wouldn't expect the loss to be long term, I'm doing the slow but sure fat loss for that, but a reasonably quick and healthy shrinking of the gut for that one night would be nice.
