I was having breakfast. It is fun logging on to the newsgroup in the morning
and imagining that in other countries they are actually supposed to go to
sleep :-)

How nice that you were online just when I posted! What a coincidence.
Very late here in N.J. -- can't believe I'm up on the computer at just
past 1:30 a.m. -- I'll sure pay for this foolishness at work tomorrow!
Great to "see" you too, my friend!

Welcome back, and good luck with the new commitment!

And so great to hear from you too, Elaine! You know there will always be
place for you here, whenever you 're ready and have time to post...
meanwhile I 'll be thinking of you, hubby, and brother in law.
All the best,

Hi Gail
Glad to hear from you & that you're doing great. Things have not been
very good for me. My hubby has had 2 minor stokes & is now in the
process of arranging for a knee replacement. His brother, Don, lives
with us and has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. My eating
has been out of control but I don't seem to be wanting to gorge anymore
so that is a positive sign that I will soon to able to get back OP. I've
been too busy to post lately & only skimming the posts, but I just had
to say Hi to you ;-D

fairly frequent poster. Got down to (and below) goal from a high of

as high. Been busy with all sorts of work/home/family things but I
finally managed to get myself motivated to get back OP since this past
Thursday, and I'm feeling terrific.

Instead of returning to a meeting, I tried checking out the WW website
and really liked it. Ended up actually joining the eTools after a few
days of browsing around and it's been great for me. But I found
myself missing the old ASDWW gang (any of you still here? you may
remember me as the poet of once-upon-a-time grin). So, as I started
out saying, thought I'd stop by and say hello.

Las time here I used to go by my RL name (Gail), but when I started at
the WW website, I was inspired to be a bit more creative, reflecting
my love of nature, so now you'll find me with the username

one....Thanks for the laugh, Krys, I really needed it tonight!

Ohmigod!

The ASDWW Poet Laureate is once more amongst us........bow down, for we

are
not worthy...... *grin*

It's always nice to see an old friend back....kinda makes it feel even

more
like home.

"To do you justice I feel I should write you an ode
now that ASDWW is once more a la mode.
Like you I was absent for quite a while
but something about this place is always in style.

Having been walkabout, and gained in weight and girth,
I decided to resubscribe, try harder, for all my worth.
Little by little my efforts have shown fruit,
I'm looking rather better in my birthday suit.

Without ASDWW it wouldn't have been the same,
even if some of the regulars see fit to change their name.
So welcome back among us,
pull up the obligatory chair,
one thing for sure I promise,
you're among people who truly care."

Ach........it's just like the old days! *grin*

Thanks Joyce. At least he will be able to walk afterwards instead of
barely shuffling ;-D

Hey, hey, hey - nice to see you again Elaine! You have been greatly missed. Hope
hub is doing much better, and sorry to hear about your brother in law. You
certainly do have more than your fair share right now, don't you? Can't say I
blame you for turning to the comfort of those old habits. You know the ww
routine, I have no doubt that when you are ready and back in the right frame of
mind, success will be yours once again.

Oh, and did I see mention of an upcoming knee replacement for hub? I wish him all
the success my mom had. He may be miserable for a few days afterwards
(understandably so!), but keep on him with the therapy. He will feel like a
totally new person and wonder why he didn't do this years ago. G

Hi there ASDWW gang!

What a wonderful welcome back! I am touched, pleased and happy to
have come "home". Can't really post now but will check in and do some
"catching up", at the latest, in a few days. Love to all!
