Default Food & Exercise -- 9/28/04

Went to a class downtown today, then to the gym. Took all my food
with me for the day.

6:00 (driving to metro station): ready-to-drink chocolate protein
shake

8:30 (class): 2 hard-boiled eggs

12:15 (class): 1 soy burger w/ 2 slices melted f/f cheese & ketchup

3:30 (class): microwaveable orange cranberry oatmeal

7:45 (driving home): energy bar

8:45 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese

11:00 (home): All Bran bar

Totals: 1370 calories, 33g fat (22%), 156g carbs (46%), 112g protein
(33%)

Exercise:

12:00 -- Around 12 blocks walk w/ Ted -- not all that brisk, since we
didn't have walking clothes or shoes -- just to get a little fresh air
and stretch our legs.

6:00 -- Olympic lifting & cardio

Shoulder warmups

Power snatch: 1x5x15kg/33lbs; 2x5x17.5/38.5; 3x3x20/44

Classic clean and jerk combos: 3x(1+1)x25/55; 1x(3+2)x30/66;
3x(1+1)x35/77 -- had some trouble with the jerks at 35

Clean pulls from above-knee hang: 2x5x35/55; 2x5x40/88

Back squats: 1x5x30/66; 1x3x40/88; 1x3x45/99; 2x3x50/110

Abs: 30 hammer crunches on Swiss ball, holding 8-lb. DB; 30
side-to-side twists on ball hodling same DB

Cardio: Cardio program week 17, interval day: 16 x (30 seconds sprint,
30 seconds standing on edges of treadmill) -- Did 4 sprints at 9.0,
then 4 at 8.5, then 4 at 8.0, then 4 at 7.5. This was pretty tiring.
I was not feeling my best today, though. It was a long day, the class
was really boring, I got drenched coming out of the metro station on
the way to the gym, and my stomach was a little queasy.
