What Do You Eat On Induction?
Hi All,
I have just started induction again. The only drawback I am experiencing is boredom. You see I am really poor and don't have a kitchen. And I work the graveyard shift. So all of those luxurious recipes Dr. Atkins touts are a little out of my ability right now. Basically it is scrambled eggs and sausage, whatever cheap meat and vegetables I can stick into a microwave, and salami and cheese. One reason I am doing Atkins is I am a serious carb/sugar addict and want to break my dependence through Induction, but the boredom of the diet for me leads to a lot of tempting cravings. Plus I seem to be one of those people who is always hungry on Induction. Filling up on meat can get quite expensive. Does anyone have any quick and tasty(and cheap) recipes or foods they like on Induction and OWL? Something to spice up the diet?. Thanks. |

Thanks. you don't need much in the way of a kitchen to make tuna salad, or to make veggie salads. use cabbage instead of lettuce - you don't have to clean it, just chop it. add chicken or turkey or roast beef (i buy the stuff that's sliced for deli sandwiches) and some dressing, toss and eat. when you're past induction, you can throw in some walnuts or sunflower seeds. yum. tuna salad is easy: all you need is a bowl, a spoon, a can opener and a knife (optional). i make mine with one can of tuna and one small avocado. some mayo, some lemon juice, some salt and some pepper, eat. i'm not doing induction, so i have my tuna salad with wasa crackers ... but you can skip that part |

Some good induction-safe veggies that don't require a kitchen: green
bell peppers, cucumbers, celery. I just like to munch these out of hand. Eat them with some kind of sour cream or mayyonaise-based dressing or dip (ranch is good, and it comes in jars and squeeze bottles). For meat, you can always get burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches with extra veggies and mayo, then don't eat the bun. (Asking for a fork helps.) Some delis will sell you boiled eggs. And you can get all kinds of meat in cans - tuna, spam, chicken, deviled ham, and my favorite (and one of the best for you), sardines... packed in tabasco sauce for an extra kick! |

I layer a plate with pepperoni, put mozzarella cheese over it and
stick it in the microwave until the cheese melts. Like pizza without the sauce and crust. I love it. Jodie LC since 8/28/03 183/171/140 "Darkjourney" wrote in message nk.net... I would lat it over a paper towl. I hate all the grease in it and you would
be amazed how much gets removed when you do this. makes it crunchier too. if you like Chips these are also good. but better to "fry" them on the stove till crispy. but be warned eat while warm. not as good once they cool down.
