Default honeycrisp apples and weigh-in

The honeycrisp apples are in season here in Minnesota so I have decided to
keep going to Curves 5/wk so I can have an apple every day or so until they
are out of season. If you've never had a honeycrisp they are the best apples
I've ever had and I lived by an apple orchard for most of my childhood. I am
an apple snob! If it isn't the right crispness or texture it is out the
window into the woods for the animals to enjoy (never on the road)
I am down to 149 today. 15 lbs from my latest goal. I keep adjusting as I
got a new scale and I don't think 20 lbs more would look good on me but I'll
decide then when I get there.

Off to my convention this after, I am bringing a bunch of my regular foods
to put into the fridge in my room because I know the food at these things is
butt-nasty. I do plan on drinking heavily with the rest of them but it will
be vanilla Absolute and diet coke. I'm bringing my workout clothes because I
plan to get to the hotel gym at least one day, preferably both. I've already
been to Curves this am and 3 time this week.
I'll be back Friday evening

Lori- you are so well planned that it's an inspiration to the rest of us.
In contrast to you, I have slacked off this last week attributing it to
family gatherings (and just plain laziness) After reading your post, I'm
gonna get off my butt today, get out shopping to get some "good" snacks and
stop munching on nuts and SF treats and then wondering why the scales aren't
going down. (Maybe even get on the exercise bike - or is that going to
far??)

Thanks

I live in Orchard country here .. so I know what you mean about the
Apples. I pick them fresh off a tree here.
Such a wonderful flavor and texture. .. and there's something magical
about seeing Deer come into the open for a few deadfalls on the ground
around the trees at the break of day.

I have not indulged this year with the apples.. I have a long way to
go yet. I have cut out a wedge at suppertime though.. and I give the
remainder to my daughter who is an apple fanatic.

Good Luck and have fun at the convention.
You are in control as far as the food drinks and exercise goes... so I
have no doubt you'll do just awesome.

Default honeycrisp apples and weigh-in

Hi Lori, just wanted to say congratulations and thanks for the
encouragement. An apple a day probably won't kill you)

BTW, today was my 3 year olds 2nd day of morning pre-school and my first day
at Curves. I went right after a shot in my knee (it needs total replacement
but trying a temp alternative) and I love it. I can't wait for pre-school
and Curves on Friday. I was also amazed at how inexpensive it is and my knee
is ok!

Keep up the great work, I'm right following behind ya. FTR I do probably eat
one serving of fruit a day and find that even though I am not in ketosis at
35-50 carbs a day, I am losing and my diabetes shows a normal level. Curves
is just another way of getting my sugar and my weight down and firming it
up.
