What a load of crap. But it sure sells a lot of high-priced bull****
cleaning products and plans, which cause your body to remove NO more
and with some plans LESS, toxins than it does normally.

Thanks for the informative post. It appears that all of these "my body is
full of toxins!" people are followers of P.T. Barnum.

You puke from 5 glasses of cold water?

I would guess that it takes hot water because if you drank that much
cold water, you'd puke. Experiment - try body temperature water (98F)
instead of hot water, see if you get the same results.

I don't know about puking, but it would take me an hour or more to
drink five glasses of anything, unless they were very small glasses.

Some people are just not open to others' ways. Even (especially) in North
America. I'm not surprised about the resistance in this thread.
Lots of cultures do this too: japanese, chinese, even greeks know and
practice this on occasion. Not necessarily the method you described, but
drinking hot water yes, and/or with a dash of lemon as a bonus. I've

heard
reasons behind this as being - it helps digestion and aids in dissolving
fat, or as you say, gives you a good cleanse. Whether it's true or not,

who
knows. But it certainly isn't something that would hurt anyhow.
There is usually a good reason behind the customs/methods of "old wives
tales" in every culture.

Resistance is not because of "not being open to others' ways". We tend to
be a skeptical "show me" or "explain it to me" type of society....well, the
least gullible of us, anyway. I am not about to do something to my BODY
without first examining it up, down, and sideways. So, some people in other
cultures drink.....water with lemon in it. So what? Tell me what good could
come out of dumping 5 glasses of hot water into my stomach! Don't just say,
"trust me", cause that isn't going to happen.

Plus, those foreign "cultural" folkways really only work on foreign people.

Cold water in an empty stomach? Sure, one glass is enough if it's
cold enough and you drink it fast enough, at least first thing in the
morning. It's happened to me plenty of times, so I use body temp
water (or at least room temp) for my first-thing-in-the-morning pills.

There is no heaven.

I don't expect you to get it.
