I weighed in within my own personal goal range this week, if I use the WW 2 over rule. It is a combination of being on program all week and luck I think, since I really really ate too much on the 4th, and the 3rd too. Anyway, I am very glad to get it. Hoping to see the one fives again next week and hold it there for my anniversary which is coming up next month. I cannot believe that I am going to have been at a normal weight for a whole year soon. It is like a dream still. Now if I just do it for four More years statistically it is a sure thing ....And no surgery, no pills, no patches, no herbaldeath, no Nada, just plain ole healthy diet and move more!

I did do well . ooo you got a one five you lucky dog. I am hoping for
one tomorrow. Fever? hmmm, what can that be? You gotta flu? We have west
nile here, but I am immune. And I totally agree with you about the next
four although this may not be the forum to mention it in...

Sounds like you had the program down this week, even with some lapses.
I actually saw 159.5 the morning after my official WI but it's since
gone back up. Last night, for some reason, a fever of 101+ - felt
terrible all day yesterday (altho, I did walk the lake) and consoled
myself with FOOD!

In this case ONLY works - only four more years. You've done this
part, you can certainly do that. Here's to - FOUR MORE YEARS (except
in presidential politics (G))

I always gain when I am ill, for some reason my body thinks food will cure
whatever.
Probably flu. West Nile is actually not even very noticeable unless you
have a worn down immune usually. Most people don't get that sick. Now
Meningitis.... that can be very very mean.

I don't know enough about West Nile. I did get a bunch of mosquito
bites last weekend but those were mountain mosquitoes and so far I've
not read it has spread up there - that will be difficult to deal with
if it does - as the mosquitoes in the mountains are by the billions
altho, DEET can be used. It might be flu - headachy, stiff neck and
the fever. Of course, the fact that some teenager up here just died
quickly from bacterial meningitis makes one symptomatic!

The 159.5 was short lived. The fever made me delirious and would you
believe, made food look tempting! (G)

Without much exercise due to weather and being under-the-weather, I am
sure that this week will not be a loss - other than the proverbial
"total loss!"

Well I don't know about that west nile stuff, and I don't want to know! We had
the outbreak here 2 summers ago and it was darned scary. I think there were
several deaths in my immediate area, and several dead crows were found at the
wildlife center that is 2 blocks from my home. I remember moving my mom into the
nursing home last summer, and taking her out for walks on the premises ... only to
return and notify the maintanence department that they had several dead black
birds out on the sidewalk. No one ever said what the problem was, but that west
nile always sticks in the back of my head.

This year we seem to have a new *something* going around, was on the news
yesterday and of course I missed it. My son-in-law was one of the first in our
area to seek medical attention - some kind of a bite on his leg, that became very
inflamed and swollen. It grew quite large in less than 24 hours time, 48 hours
was extremely painful, stiff and achy and huge. He received antibiotics via a
shot as well as oral - and it continued to get worse, then broke open and was just
plain gross. A co-worker ended up being hospitalized for the same thing. No firm
diagnosis was ever made, but after meds were changed he did start getting better.
This was 2 weeks ago. Yesterday my eldest daughter went to the doctor for the
same thing - started with a little red speck on monday. Tuesday morning was
larger and I told her to draw a ring around it with marker - if it got larger get
her butt in. Started antibiotics on Wednesday, returned today for a culture. All
they can tell her is a staff infection and this office alone has seen several
cases. Not one clue as to what kind of a bug/insect is causing this.

If we ever do learn anything, I will be sure to pass the info along. As of today
the swelling on daughters leg has gone down a bit ... which is very encouraging.
Bright purple marker is keeping us posted/alerted to the progress in either
direction. She has had to have the antibiotics changes due to an allergic
reaction to the first ones, and of course the pharmacy appears to have messed up
the dosage so need to call the dr. in the morning to clarify. Guess daughter went
head to head with the receptionist this morning, who told her she could come in
Monday to be seen again (swelling was going up). Daughter didn't mess around,
told her she either would be seen immediately or they could jolly well come to the
hospital to see her ... Dr. called back immediately, had her into the office
within the hour. There are some things you just don't mess around with.

2 over rule. It is a combination of being on program all week and luck I
think, since I really really ate too much on the 4th, and the 3rd too.
Anyway, I am very glad to get it. Hoping to see the one fives again next
week and hold it there for my anniversary which is coming up next month.
I
cannot believe that I am going to have been at a normal weight for a
whole
year soon. It is like a dream still. Now if I just do it for four More
years statistically it is a sure thing ....And no surgery, no pills,
no
patches, no herbaldeath, no Nada, just plain ole healthy diet and move
more!
