what you expected is what I get at my meeting, I hope Willow reads your post
I don't think she is allowed to make your progress public, and I hope if she
does someone reports her, Lee, waiting for willow to comment on this hideous
behavior

What exactly did you expect?...Meetings become boring when people don't
participate...If I could have done this on my own I would have since I
couldn't I joined...Why did you join?...Maybe your expectation level was
unrealistic...It seems you just really didn't give it a chance...GG

Sorry about earlier post Gary. Got a little defensive since I felt like I
was getting ganged up on. I am gonna join after I lose about 40 pounds
(which I know I can do cause I've done it several times before with and
without WW). I want it to stay off this time so I will join on down the
line. I just don't want to pay for what I already know how to do. The last
20-30 is what I will need help with.

I expected a little bit of liveliness at the meeting and more

participation
actually, a few helpful hints or a recipe or two. I expected people to

laugh
a little and have fun. The friend I went with slept thru the whole thing.

I thought of going to the other meeting that's close by but was told that
that leader posts people's progress in her church bulletin, so she's out

of
the picture as a leader for me.

"Stormmee"
very true and if I could have done it on the dozen others I tried I would
have stuck there, this is one of those deals where you have to find what
works for you, for some that is WW for others it is calories, and for
others
it is a strict NO list, I am always happy for more participants, Lee,
hoping
you do lose on whatever plan you choose

Thank you, Lee. I have been lurking and participating in this ng for years
(back when SusieQ was here) and I've never been made to feel like I was
doing something deceitful or immoral until yesterday. I love this group and
try to give whatever hints I can when I have them.

I've also bought every book on diets and cooking low-fat known to man, I
believe, so I try to gather from all the resources I can. There's more than
one way to skin a chicken (pun intended).

Debbiehappy now. LOL

not at all, its just that if you want what they have to offer you have to
pay for it, if you can do it on your own you are better than me for sure,
Lee

Not better, Lee, that's for sure. It's just been a lifelong battle for me
and I've been gathering info for about 35 years. LOL. I know my body
responds well to exercise and cutting out junk food. But since I am getting
older, it may be harder this go around. I will see if I can do it on my own
and if I can't, I will join. Lost 3.5 pounds this week and hubby is keeping
me accountable and buying my food stuff and walking with me. He's a great
help to me. This go around I don't just want to lose, I want to be healthy.
When your knees start hurting, it's time to start thinking about health
instead of looks! LOL

Thanks for the encouragement, Lee.

Truly sorry about that, Lee. I didn't mean you did that at all. You've only
been supportive to me since I've been in here. Sorry, dear.

sort, you know, I want that so I do this to get it, I sure miss SQ Lee

I think about her from time to time. Wonder if she's still at goal? Does she
ever come in here anymore?

Oh I see. You don't pay $11 a week for meetings and you get bashed in
here. Never mind that I pay for their materials, food, and magazine. It's
just that you all expect me to go to meetings every week, too. I see.
Thanks for all the help.

If you want to lose by counting calories rather than followed the WW
program, what do you need the slider for?

WW is a business, as in, there to make money.. it's not a charity
organisation. If you want to lose weight on your own, go right ahead.. all
you have to do is eat less calories than you burn..

But if you want to follow the WW program, using the WW tools.. than.. yeah..
it cost money.. it's a business.. which is why the staff won't give you the
stuff for free..

They aren't supposed to.. since we know that people are trying to do
exactly what you're trying to do.. come once, get the whole thing, then
bail out.
Will~

If I can lose it on my own counting calories why should I pay to go to
meetings? To line WW pockets? Their stuff is not free. I've paid good
money for their products and I subscribe to WW magazine, so I'm not
bailing out of anything. But to pay $33 for a slider on activity points is
ridiculous.
