Hi! I'm a 34 year old mom who is looking for some friends for support
while trying to lose weight. I have quite a bit to lose- I'm 5'3" and 264 pounds right now. So I know this wont happen overnight. Laugh all you want but I actually like doing Richard Simmons videos. He's too funny. I also like swimming and walking with my kids. Any other moms my age looking for a "buddy"? Christy |

It doesn't matter where you get your motivation from, as long as it carries you through this journey called weight loss. What are your plans for achieving your weight loss? Counting calories? Exercise? It's important to have a plan. |

Exercise? It's important to have a plan. Ive been trying to exercise at least 3 times a week and Im building up to more days. I either go walking or do an aerobic video. And Im following the Richard Simmons diet plan. It's similar to Weight Watchers because you count how many breads, fruits, veggies, ect that you eat each day. And Ive cut my diet cokes to 2 a day and Im drinking lots of water. I used to just drink coke all day. So far Ive lost about 13 pounds. But its hard to stick to it every day without some encouragement or someone to 'check up on me'. That's what Im hoping to find here. Christy |

Welcome...Find a plan of eating you can live with...It all comes down to
reducing intake and increasing your exercise...I walk...At one time I was over 350 lbs and walking was minimal...Today as I get into the 170's I walk 60 miles a week and love it...It has taken almost 2 years to get here and anyone can do it...It's really all inside of each of us...For me WW was the answer...But there are many ways to get to your goal...Do set goals...Small easily attainable ones as well as where you want to finally be...There are many good people here...Good luck in your journey...GG "Christy" wrote in message ups.com...
