"FOB" wrote in message ... Some people don't binge on things just because they are around. When I started low carb I had a bunch of stuff around that I used to love, like granola bars and dried mangos. I never ate any of them and eventually gave them away. Not every fat person is a binger, it only takes a few more calories in than used every day to gradually make a person fat. Exactly! I'm the only person in my house doing low-carb. There are oreo's, ice cream, potato chips, candybars, etc. almost constantly in the house. There has been that type of food around the entire time I've been on low-carb, and I haven't eaten foods that don't fit into my plan. When I see others eating those foods that make me sick... and I smell them and hear the sounds... that is the perfect time for me to go get something low-carb and delicious, and savor it. Finding new favorite foods to replace old ones has been helpful to me in making this a permenant lifestyle change. -- Spring LC since 1/1/04 260/208/170 http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/spr...=/55b8&.src=ph Size: 24W / 14 / 10 |

"Betty Lou Locke" wrote in message ... Is anyone else addicted to the natural peanut butter , put out by Kraft. I't so good that I just can't have it in the house anymore. The best cure for me is just leave it on the shelve as it's hard to stop at two tablespoons. Corn roast went well and did behave myself pretty good , just two cobs with butter and hamburger. hugs BettyLou You know what's REALLY good? Take equal amounts of peanut butter & cream cheese and blend together. You can add a little bit of splenda. Roll into little balls and roll the balls into chopped nuts. Keep them in the fridge. Then you can take out one ball and eat it as a creamy peanut-butter truffle type yummy yum! Something lese that is good: peanut butter like you get at the healthfood store, ya know the kinda grainy dry **** ummm I mean stuff. Mix it with shredded unsweetened coconut, and a sprinkle of Splenda. roll into balls, push one semi sweet chocolate chip into middle., roll again, then roll in crushed pork rinds. Eat right away!!! It is sweet, nutty, salty. YUM!!!! I make them when our low carb friends comeover for Survivor night LAureen |

Why on earth would you create something (and store it in your refrigerator for easy access) that you will ultimately binge on? Can you say poor planning? Deliberate diet sabotage? I like candy and chips and ice cream, but would never even think to keep any significant amounts of those things around the house because I would eat them. I don't binge. Before eating low-carb, I rarely ate peanut butter, and never ate cream cheese (hated the stuff). Now they both taste good to me (although I still only have a little peanut butter each month) and I go through lots of cream cheese. And I'm losing weight. I wasn't talking about eating candy, chips, and ice cream. I was mentioning a cream cheese naturally-low carb snack. I also like to keep deviled eggs in my fridge, read to eat when I want something small. I think it is GOOD planning to have natural low-carb things to eat available. Don't bother replying, BillyDee. I searched through your posts and saw that you've never had anything worthwhile to contribute. So you've been added to my blocked list. I'm so upset. |
