how I'm doing
Hi folks
just thought I'd let you know I have now been three weeks on what I class as Low Carb. I am not following any particular book, just going by my blood sugars. I have found by frequent testing, that if I eat less than 20g carb per meal, I am permanently under 9bg. I am trying to get even better control but so far my health advisors are happy that I am not "doing Atkins" and I am happy they are no longer criticising everything I do. I may even change a few local medical minds. I have not lost any weight yet but as I'm not really concentrating on that until I've learned more about what foods affect me how, I'm not that bothered. I want to thank everybody for being in this forum. You all know so much more than me, its great just to hover. Lindad -- |

Book Description Insights into One of the Greatest Mysteries of Human Behavior Minds are exceedingly hard to change. Ask any advertiser who has tried to convince consumers to switch brands, any CEO who has tried to change a company’s culture, or any individual who has tried to heal a rift with a friend. So many aspects of life are oriented toward changing minds—yet this phenomenon is among the least understood of familiar human experiences. Now, eminent Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner, whose work has revolutionized our beliefs about intelligence, creativity, and leadership, offers an original framework for understanding exactly what happens during the course of changing a mind—and how to influence that process. ---------------------------------------- You won't learn a "Formula" for changing minds of yourelf or others. It isn't that simple a thing to do. Jim |
